Welcome to Xierpa. This is the stable 1.2 version which was developed by Petr van Blokland + Claudia Mens (buro@petr.com) and is maintained by Michiel Kauw-A-Tjoe. It is subclassed by the Museum Meermanno and American Express applications.

A wiki list of tags appears when scrolling over the question mark next to the language symbol. The text can be edited and the date of the project can be filled in.

Captions for each image can be added in the language boxes. Also the order of appearance in the slideshow can be changed in this section.

The image database. All available images (if not yet linked to a project) are listed at the right side. By clicking the arrow next to the picture you can select an image to the active project (yellow bar) on the left. The column in the middle shows the images linked to the selected project. It's possible to unlink the images by clicking the arrow the other way. For each selected image you can choose if it has to appear in the slideshow. The large and small fit buttons allows you to control the framing of the image within the dimensions of the slideshow.

Images can be cropped in the CMS to pick the framework witch suits best. After cropping the picture will keep its new dimensions. The dababase will use the new dimensions for the thumbnails and the bigger pictures.

Travel guides for Grafische Zaken

For Grafisch Zaken Petr van Blokland + Claudia Mens built an online application that generates press PDF files automaticly. All the content and images can be managed online. Editors all over the world can make translations for the guides online in their own language.

The content management system at the back side of the website. All XML files are listed right. All different guides are listed in the folders at the left. XML files can be added or removed from any folder. Different icons divide the xml files in hotels, resorts and countries.

Images can be selected and cropped. Cropping comes by simply dragging a selection within the image. A yellow box appears and shows the new dimensions of the image. (also explained in the next project)

Strawberries Fabrics

For Strawberries Fabrics we redesigned the identity and website.
Strawberries Fabrics International provides fabrics which are hand made by local craftsmen and women groups in various parts of the world. The purpose of Strawberries Fabrics is to contribute to the preservation of traditional techniques and to provide local artisans and producers an income.

The website shows the wide diversity of the fabrics. In the design details the qualities and colors of the material are clearly highlighted by the extensive attention to photography.
